This work shirt is modeled after a piece from approximately the 1950s, originally crafted from
a lightweight "Salt and Pepper" fabric. The vintage piece shows heavy signs of wear; the
damage on the back suggests long-term friction from wearing overalls, while the subsequent
repair work adds a beautiful, weathered aesthetic.
While retaining the original dual-pocket configuration, we have utilized a Silk and Linen
blend. This fabric features a richly textured weave that offers a sophisticated depth while
maintaining a slightly structured silhouette.
The buttons are custom-developed ceramic buttons created in collaboration with Dihua
Ceramic Studio, finished with an exclusive, specially formulated metallic glaze. A single 925
sterling silver button is integrated into the set as a signature symbol of PAL.
In addition to the standard edition, we have also created a special distressed version,
meticulously recreating the original piece's specific wear patterns and damaged effects.
ABOUT FABRIC
This is a hairline weave fabric woven with 1/8 raw silk and 14/1 linen.
The structural difference between the raw silk slub yarn and the linen
yarn creates a subtle shadow pattern effect. The weaving density is
intentionally loosened to the very limit of the fabric's specifications,
giving it a soft and breathable structure.
