· Salt and Pepper was widely used at the time and is known for gradually revealing its black undertones as the surface wears down over years of use.
· The patina and distressed details of the original piece achieve a particularly balanced vintage character.
· The original belt-loop configuration and cuffed hems are retained, while the material is updated to a linen and cellulose acetate blend for an exceptionally soft and comfortable feel.
· The ceramic buttons were developed in collaboration with Dihua Ceramic Studio and finished with an exclusive metallic glaze.
· A single 925 sterling silver button is integrated into the set as a signature symbol of PAL.
· Alongside the standard edition, a special distressed version meticulously recreates the original garment’s specific wear patterns and damaged effects.
About Fabric
· A loopwheel single jersey knitted by aligning three strands of 10/1 cotton yarn.
· Knitted to the maximum possible density, creating a substantial and sturdy fabric with almost no stretch.
· The loopwheel machine—a predecessor to the modern circular knitting machine—operates slowly with a single yarn feeder.
· This process compacts the fabric without placing unnecessary tension on the yarn.
· Dyed using a Sumi Japanese ink process, producing a naturally uneven and mottled appearance.
· With continued wear and washing, the color gradually fades and develops a distinctive patina.
