This is a workwear garment produced by the German military during World War II.
It is said to have been designed based on the French Army’s Bougeron.
The staining on this piece has aged beautifully, with traces of paint still remaining on the
back. Overall, it shows a strong and authentic sense of wear.
We have retained selected original details of the jacket while refining it for a more
contemporary silhouette, lowering the armholes, adjusting the sleeve width, and removing
the adjustable drawcord at the back to achieve more balanced, modern proportions.
The outer shell is crafted from a blend of 55% wool, 39% linen, and 6% nylon, offering a
richly textured surface.
The lining is made from 100% cotton fabric that has undergone post-treatment for enhanced
comfort and durability.
The buttons are custom-developed ceramic buttons created in collaboration with Dihua
Ceramic Studio, finished with an exclusive, specially formulated metallic glaze.
A single 925 sterling silver button is integrated into the set as a signature symbol of PAL.
ABOUT FABRIC
This is a plain double cloth fabric woven with 1/10 woolen yarn on the
face side and 27/1 linen on the back side.
By incorporating a difference in yarn counts between the front and back,
each side of the fabric presents a distinctly different texture and
