T.T / Taiga Takahashi Established in New York, the namesake brand Taiga Takahashi launched its Autumn/Winter 2021 collection under the philosophy of "reviving the relics of the past in the present, to excavate the archaeological artifacts of the future," creating menswear-focused collections under the label T.T. Browsing through the collections, one can feel Takahashi's deep fascination with American and European garments from the early 1900s. Driven by the belief that "the future is in the past," he presents garments where the modern and the future coexist by utilizing traditional Japanese techniques that are gradually disappearing.
· Based on 1930s Californian newsboy bags with re-adjusted proportions
· Retains the wide pressure-relieving shoulder strap and spacious gusset, with the strap shortened to fit modern body frames
· Randomly spaced stitching on the strap explicitly presents a vintage rugged texture
· Faithfully reproduces the characteristic rivet and sewing details found on vintage newsboy bags
Materials and care
· This product is dyed with natural dyes, so uneven dyeing may occur as a natural characteristic of the product
· Prolonged exposure to sunlight, friction, or moisture may cause color fading or migration; please avoid pairing or layering with white or light-colored items
· Iron hardware used for tack buttons, rivets, buckles, and other trims faithfully reproduces vintage details. As these parts are not treated with modern rust-resistant finishes, rust may develop over time. Sharp edges or pin tips may also be exposed during use
