T.T / Taiga Takahashi Established in New York, the namesake brand Taiga Takahashi launched its Autumn/Winter 2021 collection under the philosophy of "reviving the relics of the past in the present, to excavate the archaeological artifacts of the future," creating menswear-focused collections under the label T.T. Browsing through the collections, one can feel Takahashi's deep fascination with American and European garments from the early 1900s. Driven by the belief that "the future is in the past," he presents garments where the modern and the future coexist by utilizing traditional Japanese techniques that are gradually disappearing.


· Inspired by classic painter pants from the 1920s and 1930s.
· Double-needle stitching and a carefully adjusted stitch length create a consistent finish throughout.
· The traditional hammer pocket has been removed to give the wide silhouette a cleaner, more refined line.
· Crafted from an original high-density West Point cloth, woven on vintage shuttle looms and finished with a cold mercerization process.
· West Point is a type of chino cloth associated with uniforms worn at the United States Military Academy at West Point.
· Compared with conventional chino cloth, it is densely woven from finer two-ply combed cotton yarns, giving the fabric a subtle luster and elevated appearance.
· The fabric is said to have been originally developed for the uniforms of senior military officers.
