In modern times, socks are made with a stretchy synthetic fiber backing in order to fit the body, but the Zocchi knitting technique is to knit without a backing.The unique vintage sock silhouette is reproduced by using elastic only at the mouth.Socks made of 100% cotton without a backing yarn are rare, and are made on an old sock knitting machine at a well-established factory in Nara, Japan. The ribbed mouth is long and fits the calf to prevent the socks from slipping down.Coordinates well with boots.
